This month, we’re all about the 5 senses & wacky weather. Here’s 5 fun activities you can do at home to engage each one!

2.  Taste the Rainbow

Taste is one of our favorite senses!  Who doesn’t love a yummy snack?  With this activity, all you need is some colored paper and fruit!  Cut out the paper into circles, then add a sampling of like-colored fruits to the “plates” and let your little one start exploring and tasting!  Fruits pictured below: banana, orange, kiwi, blueberries, and strawberries.

3.  Feel the Rainbowrainbow-pasta

Work those fine motor skills with this activity focused on touch–with a fun rainbow twist!

Simply make 1.5 boxes of fettucine, dye them six different colors, spread out the noodles in a plastic bin (with a towel underneath) and let your preschooler explore, stretch, and twirl the rainbow!

4.  Hear The Rainbow

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon of any extract or candy flavoring
  • Wilton Frosting Coloring
